Tyson bit off part of Holyfield’s left ear. Very thrilling.
Xu Can
At 25, he is the youngest WBA World Champion in the past ten years.
Can, a low-key and humbled soul type of person is an amateur with not so much years of boxing experience. But that does not make him less dangerous in the ring. With his strong shield-like arm defense technique, his opponents are left to box out their arms. After driving them to fatigue, Can then attacks in a swift and effective manner.
With what lies ahead, Can is aware of the fact that winning a world championship at this point is not enough to form a lasting legacy. This is what drives his ambition and keeps him focus. He is a man on a mission.
Shun Kubo
With a record of 13 wins, 1 loss and 9 knockouts, Kubo currently ranks at 10 in the WBA featherweight category. He’s 29 years old, 178 cm tall and a wingspan of 180 cm.
After defeating Semino in April, 2017, Kubo became the WBA Super-Matt World Champion. He lost the defense of that title to the American Boxer, Daniel Roman.
In 2018, he was upgraded to the featherweight boxing category, winning his first bout against his Japanese compatriot, Hiroshige Osawa who is currently ranked No. 1 in the WBA Super-featherweight category.
Kubo’s stance is a southpaw (left-handed) posture with a quick moving body.
This bout is not the only event of the day. Two heavyweight fights will take place also. Another fight will include Japan’s Sho Kimura who will be challenging Flyweight World Champion, Carlos Canizales, the second world champion of the title.
